Dear Student,
After seeing your feedback, felt that many of you got interested in coding.
Now that you got interested, what can you do.
As I told you, when you are excited and inspired, you need to take immediate actions to make good use of this inspiration mood.
Here are the things that you could do.
#1:
Write blog post for people to understand about system internals and network internals. For example, take a concept like how a URL is resolved to an IP address. Write everything you know about it, and try to present in a way that is understandable for people who don't know anything.
Or write about Call Stack, what does the stack frame contain. For this do some experiments in the system and understand it further and write about it.
In this way pick any technical topic that you like from the things you learned from the workshop and explore, understand and write about it.
#2:
Make a commitement to write and commit and push code to github everyday. Everyday just 15 mins is also a very great start.
#3:
Take the challenge of solving 12 programs from SPOJ and don't stop till you complete them. Commit your programs to github private repositories.
#4:
Create a simple prototype, for the application you want to build. Find the libraries which you could use from github and try to build them. Run them on AWS or codenvy.io or other cloud resources that you got with github education package.
#5:
Conduct a half day workshop for people to learn Git and Github. Invite all the interested students from 2nd year and make them learn how to use it for their own projects. And make them get Github education pack.
#6:
Collect 20 questions from the students and send me. I will send the answers to you. You could repeat this activity every month.
#7:
Immediately after Dasara form a small group and arrange a meeting with your seniors who got placed in R&D Companies. Interact with them to get insights and to connect with them for later guidance.
I wish you the very best.
